The inspiration for this painting came from scripture in Matthew 14:22-33 where Jesus had finished ministering to multitude of people and performing healing miracles. It was EVENING when He instructed the disciples to go to the other side of the sea. Now it was completely dark in the fourth watch when Jesus came walking on the water. In my artistic mind it had to have been dark as midnight, without the same lights as we have today. Therefore, I chose such a dark color pallet for this abstract painting. Since it was extremely dark you would have to imagine that for His disciples to physically SEE Jesus walking on water in completely darkness He would have had to been lit up like a light. This abstract painting was my attempt to bring a sense of visual understanding of what that scene could have possibly looked like.
I was born in Fort Worth, TX. At the early age of seven I realized I had a GOD given ability to draw. I have never received any formal training, I just have a natural ability to draw. After high school, I received an education in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Dallas were I earned an Associates Degree. I've worked in different segments of the graphics arts industry for many years. My experience ranges from graphic design to computer animation. But my true love is fine art.

This is absolutely fantastic. It reminds me of a painting entitled " The Anunciation" by Henry Ossawa Tanner at the Philadelphia Museum of art. Very powerful portrayal.
